ROBERT WATSON, aged 58, of Henshaw Street, Oldham, was given a community order,including a curfew and ordered to pay £500 compensation for attempting to enter Cannon Pharmacy, George Street, with intent to steal.

DAVID RUDMAN, aged 39, of Ethel Street, Oldham was given a community order including an unpaid work requirement of 60 hours, for stealing goods worth £74.97 from Boots, make-up worth £104 from Matalan, headphones worth £39.98 and carrying a multi-tool knife without good reason in a public place. He was also ordered to pay a £85 surcharge to fund victim services and £85 costs.

DITESH CHOHAN, aged 44, of Denton Lane, Chadderton, was fined £587 for travelling at 56mph on Manchester Road, breaking the 30mph speed limit. He was also ordered to pay a £58 surcharge to fund victim services and £200 costs.

PHILLIP ASHLEY MARSDEN, aged 27, of Ashford Walk, Chadderton, was given a community order, a restraining order and fined £309 for assault by beating and damaging an internal door to the value of £75. He must also pay an £85 surcharge to fund victim services, £75 compensation and £300 costs.

GARY GEORGE BROOKES, aged 28, of Old Road, Failsworth, received a 16-week, suspended for 18 months, and must carry out 100 hours of unpaid work for assaulting a police constable. He must also pay £100 compensation.

WILLIAM FOGG, aged 25, of Hartington Court, Royton, was discharged conditionally for 12 months for stealing perfume to the value of £200 from Boots.

MARIE LOUISE BAKLANOW, aged 38, of Browfield Way, Royton, was given a community order and disqualified for driving for three years for failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis. She was also ordered to pay a £85 surcharge to fund victim services and £85 costs.

SAWNEY WELSH, aged 29, of Williams Crescent, Chadderton, was given a community order including 100 hours of unpaid work for having a knuckleduster in a public place and possession of cannabis. He was ordered to pay a £85 surcharge to fund victim services and £285 costs.

WILLIAM THOMAS WRIGHT, aged 52, of Henshaw Street, Oldham, was discharged conditionally for 12 months for possession of cannabis. He was also ordered to pay a £20 surcharge to fund victim services and £85 costs.

CHARLENE BRENNAN, aged 32, of Saxon Street, Oldham, was discharged conditionally for 12 months after 30 bin bags containing household waste from her property were deposited in an alleyway on Saxon Street. She was also ordered to pay a £15 surcharge to fund victim services and £740 costs.

JABRANN AKHTAR, aged 20, of Hillside Avenue, Oldham, was fined £200 and was given five points on his licence for driving without due care and attention.

He was also ordered to pay costs of £200 and a £30 surcharge to fund victim services.

JAMES TERENCE FRANCIS RATTIGAN, aged 67, of Derby Street, Failsworth, received a 14-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, for using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour, including racial abuse. He was given a restraining order, ordered to pay £100 costs and a £115 surcharge to fund victim services.

JERMAIN ORLANDO REECE, aged 25, of Broadway, Chadderton, was discharged conditionally for 12 months for assault. He was ordered to pay £50 compensation, costs of £200 and a £20 surcharge to fund victim services.

JOHN CROPPER, aged 71, of Lord Lane, Failsworth, was fined £560 for possessing ammunition without authorisation by a firearm certificate. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £30 surcharge.
