A SEARCH to find the North West's most inspirational and community beneficial property projects is underway.

The annual RICS Awards North West celebrate the region’s top built initiatives and developments that provide significant value to the communities they serve.

Every year the esteemed awards attract hundreds of entries from all over the North West including small-scale dynamic projects, and large multi-million pound developments.

In the 2017 awards, Oldham's Old Town Hall project was named winner in the Design through Innovation and Regeneration categories and also scooped the overall "Project of the Year" title following the £37m scheme to convert the grade II listed building into an Odeon cinema and contemporary restaurant complex.

Chair of the RICS Awards, North West judging panel, Will Rees, Director at Rees Straw Chartered Surveyors said: “Projects entered into these awards must have completed within the last three years, and the North West certainly has an abundance of exemplary and truly pioneering built projects that have completed during this time, which fully deserve the recognition that winning an RICS Award can bring.”

All category winners go on to compete against other regional winners at the national RICS Awards Grand Final in November 2018, for the chance to be crowned the overall UK winner in their respective category.

The 2018 RICS Awards, North West are now open to enter.

The deadline to nominate a project is January 26 2018. For more information and nominate a project visit www.rics.org/awards
