NEW homes will be created in Derker after planning permission was granted for the scheme.
First Choice Homes Oldham applied to build 51 homes at four parcels of land at Acre Lane.
The land, which amounts to 1.2 hectares, consisted of mainly flat, cleared brownfield land which previously contained Victorian Terraced properties.
One terraced property which remains on the site, 123 Acres Lane, will not be demolished.
The plans include 21 2-bedroom and 30 three-bedroom, with each property having access to two car-parking spaces.
The application was given unanimous approval by the planning committee.
