A FIRE at a disused health centre was started deliberately, it is believed.
Firefighters battled the blaze at the old Hathershaw and Fitton Hill Health and Wellbeing in Fitton Hill on Monday night.
As crews from Hollins and Chadderton arrived at the incident in Deanshut Road, flames could be seen on the side of the building.
Insulation panels on the sides of the centre had caught fire and the flames had also spread underneath.
However the blaze was quickly brought under control, with crews only in attendance for around 25 minutes.
