AN investigation is underway after a car was set on fire in the middle of a field.
Firefighters from Oldham were called to Becket Meadows, in Glodwick, where they found the vehicle completely alight.
Crews were called to the scene at 8pm and used a hose reel and set of breathing apparatus to put out the blaze.
Watch manager Phil Courtnell said: "The whole vehicle was totally burnt out.
"The car had been driven onto the middle of the field. It appeared to be a stolen vehicle.
"The police have been informed."
