IMAGES have been released following a robbery at a shop in Chadderton.

Police were called to One Stop Shop, on Butler Green Road shortly before 6am on Tuesday, December 5.

A man had entered the shop and then produced a knife, which he used to threatened a member of staff.

He demanded that they hand over money from the till, and when they gave him its contents, the man grabbed a bottle of vodka before leaving the shop.

Outside, he saw a woman on the phone and threatened her with the knife he was carrying, telling her not to call police.

Officers have now released CCTV images of a man they wish to speak to in connection with this incident.

Detective Constable Kelly Bragg of GMP’s Oldham borough, said: “The offender has left the people inside and outside of the shop terrified after threatening them with a knife.

“We are releasing these CCTV images in the hope that someone recognises the clothing that the man is wearing, or knows who he is, and can help with our investigation.

“I’d ask for anyone who was near the shop, or heard a disturbance around Butler Green last Tuesday morning, to please get in touch and share what you know with police.”
