A COOKING fire started after a pan of food was left unattended at an Oldham home.
Fire crews from Hollins, Oldham and Ashton were called to the blaze in Tamworth Street, Werneth, on Sunday morning.
Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used a hose reel and positive pressure ventilation fan to extinguish the flames.
Crews attended at 11.50am and remained at the scene for around 40 minutes.
