INTERNATIONALLY-ACCLAIMED award-winning jazz singer Barb Jungr and Broadway legend John McDaniel have selected Saddleworth as a stop-off on their short UK tour.
Saddleworth Live at Millgate Arts Centre, in Delph, presents the exciting collaboration hot from the US on Saturday, February 24.
In their highly acclaimed 'Float Like a Butterfly', Barb and Emmy and Grammy award-winning American pianist, orchestrator and musical director, John, will perform work from Sting’s staggeringly hit-laden songbook from 40 years as both a member of The Police and as a solo artist.
The pair are playing just seven dates in the UK so this is a rare opportunity to see these incredible world-renowned artists.
Across her 40-year career, Barb has been internationally celebrated for combining immaculate vocal technique, impassioned performance, piercing insight and beautifully unexpected musical arrangements.
She emerged from the alternative cabaret scene of the 1970s and 80s, and cutting her teeth alongside the likes of Julian Clary, Alexei Sayle and Arnold Brown.
John has worked on Broadway as a conductor, musical director and musical/vocal arranger and he is also the go-to accompanist for cabaret stars in the USA including Betty Buckley, Tyne Daly, Brooke Shields and Patti LuPone. He was musical director and bandleader on The Rosie O’Donnell Show for seven years.
