A BODY found near Dovestone Reservoir has been confirmed as missing 51-year-old Bernard Gaunt.
At around 10.50am on Sunday police were called to reports that the body of a man had been found at the beauty spot.
Greater Manchester Police say the man has been formally identified as Mr Gaunt,who went missing on January 26 from Werneth Hall Road.
Police and mountain rescue teams have been searching Saddleworth Moor since he was spotted near Dovestone by relative.
There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death and a file will be passed to the coroner.
