ADAM ARMER, aged 42, Palmer Close, Oldham, faces trial at Minshull Street Manchester Crown Court on March 26 for two charges of intentionally communicating with a person under 16 for the purpose of obtaining sexual gratification.

ASHLEY PATRICK DISSINGTON, aged 31, of Raleigh Close, Oldham, was given a community order and fined £200 for assaulting a police officer. He was ordered to pay £50 compensation, a surcharge to fund victim services of £85 and £100 costs.

BETHANY DISSINGTON, aged 22, of Arbour Road, Oldham, was fined £150 for wilfully obstructing a police officer in the execution of his duty. She was ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £30 and £100 costs.

ANDREW GRADY, aged 41, of Briscoe Street, Oldham, was sent for trial at Minshull Street Manchester Crown Court on March 22 for three counts of making indecent photographs of children.

MARK JONES, aged 44, of Middleton Road, Chadderton, was given a community order with a drug rehabilitation requirement for three charges of stealing razor blades collectively worth £713.50. He was ordered to pay compensation totalling £200.

ALAN SWEENEY, aged 42, of Vincent Avenue, Oldham, was fined £50 and ordered to pay £60 costs for failing to comply with the supervision requirements imposed following release from a period of imprisonment.

MOHAMMED ASHRAF, aged 37, of Waltham Street, Oldham, was discharged conditionally for two years for stealing baby formula, alcohol and chocolate worth £172.00 from Iceland, goods worth £93.51 from Home Bargains, and a purse with contents to the value of £14. He was ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £20 and £85 costs.

PHILLIP HEFFERAN, aged 71, of Ryecroft Close, Chadderton, was given a community order with an alcohol treatment requirement and a 12-week curfew with electronic monitoring plus a two year Criminal Behaviour Order for persistently using a public electronic communications network for the purpose of causing annoyance, inconvenience or needless anxiety to another which the court found to be racially and religiously aggravated. He was ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £85 and £85 costs.

DAVID GLYNN, aged 55, of Lansdowne Court, Chadderton, was given a community order with a rehabilitation activity requirement, disqualified from driving for two years and had his licence endorsed for driving while over the drink drive alcohol limit. He was fined £100 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £85 and £85 costs.

DAVID GOULDEN, aged 69, Derwent Walk, Oldham, was committed to prison for 10 weeks suspended for 12 months, for failing comply with the requirements of a notification order as an offender within the terms of sections 80 and 98(3) of the Sexual Offences Act.

DEBRA BROOKER , of Park Crescent, Chadderton, was fined £1,100 for failing to comply with an abatement notice served by Oldham Council under section 80(1) of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 to remove waste and maintain gardens in a clean and tidy condition. She was ordered to pay costs of £1,057 and a surcharge to fund victim services of £110.
