POLICE are searching for a suspected gunman in Failsworth.
Armed officers were sent to Hughes Close in the Moston Bank area at about 7pm last night (Wednesday, May 9) after reports of a man walking around the streets with a firearm, but when they arrived he had fled.
There was massive police presence in the area around the time of the incident with armed officers seen around Failsworth Metrolink tram stop.
Anyone with information about what happened is been urged to contact officers on 101, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
