A PEOPLE carrier parked outside a home in Woodhouses was destroyed by fire on Tuesday night (May 22).
The blaze outside a row of terraced houses in Medlock Road also caused partial damage to a Fiat Punto car.
The people carrier, a Citroen C$ was a write-off. One fire engine from Hollins station dealt with the blaze after being called out at 11.10pm
Earlier in the evening firefighters made safe a tree which looked in danger of falling on to a pavement near the station. A neighbour alerted the crew.
