KEY 2 radio DJ Darren Proctor will host a summer ladies’ lunch fundraiser for Francis House Children’s Hospice – the Manchester facility which treats youngsters from the Oldham area.

The presenter will be joined by star guest, ITV’s Dancing on Ice winner Jake Quickenden, who will be performing songs and providing entertainment at the event on Friday, June 29, from 11am to 4pm at the Principal Hotel in Manchester.

Francis House offers respite care to hundreds of families of children with life-limiting conditions. Fourteen bedrooms, dining areas and lounges, Jacuzzi pool, sensory rooms and family flats, cater for the whole family providing parents with a much needed break from their role as carers.

Rev David Ireland, chief executive of Francis House, is also minister at Oldham’s United Reformed Church in Union Street.

The hospice supports more than 470 families from across Greater Manchester, including over 110 from north Manchester including Oldham, Rochdale, Tameside and Glossop.
