The following cases have been dealt with by Tameside Magistrates’ Court.

KIERAN Edwards, aged 23, of Howarth Street, Oldham has admitted a string of thefts of gift sets from The Perfume Shop to the total value of £241.

He also stole creatine worth £74.94 from Home Bargains and failed to surrender to bail at court on May 4. `

Edwards was given a community order and ordered to pay compensation of £133, £85 to victim services and £85 costs.

MICHAEL William Ellaby, of Corner Street, Ashton, has pleaded guilty to using threatening behaviour to two victims – one on grounds of sexual orientation and the other racially aggravated. He has been given a community order, fined £25 and must pay £85 to victim services.

MATTHEW Thomas FOGARTY, aged 26, of Lydgate Drive, Oldham, has been jailed for 24 weeks for an alcohol-fuelled assault on Rebecca Ashley, James Hitchens, Melissa McDermott which caused serious injury. He was ordered to pay £700 compensation to Rebecca Ashley, £600 to James Hitchens, and £100 to Melissa McDermott. He must also pay costs of £355 and £115 to victim services.

WILLIAM Desmond Holohan, aged 29, of Crowhill View, Oldham has been given a four-month prison sentence suspended for 12 months for threatening violence against a police officer, and assaulting Carla Committed to prison for 4 months concurrent suspended for 12 months. Reason:

Hilton by beating. He was also ordered to pay compensation of £100, £115 to victim services, and costs of £400.

FOYSAL Foysor Momin, aged 24, of Malton Street, Oldham, has admitted driving while disqualified and without insurance. He was given a community order, and must pay costs of £85 and a further £85 to victim services.

LUIS Stefan, aged 28, of Abbeyhills Road, Oldham, has been given a four-month prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, for failing to surrender to custody at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court having been released on bail. He was also dealt with for prior offences which included theft of goods to the value of £1,151.95 from B&M Bargains and £81 from Poundland. He must also carry out 100 hours unpaid work in the community within the next 12 months. Stefan must also pay costs of £85 and £85 to victim services.

CARLEAM Nuttall, aged 31, of Sydenham Street, Oldham, has been fined £250 for making direct contact with an ex-partner in breach of a restraining order. He must also pay £620 costs and £85 to victim services.

EARL Matthews, aged 36, of Grove Terrace, Waterhead, has been fined £100 and ordered to pay £85 costs for drink driving. He has also been banned from driving for 20 months and pay £30 to victim services.
