A CELEBRATION event to acknowledge the hard work and success of students at Oldham College’s Higher Education campus takes place on Thursday, June 21, from 11am to 3pm.

Attendees will be able to enjoy live music, guest speakers, competitions, tombola, photo-booth, treatments from the college hair and beauty students, an ice cream van, cake sale with lunch and drinks for this student focused community event.

The majority of the Higher Education students attend from the Oldham and surrounding areas.

The event is to congratulate students on all their efforts, dedication and achievements.

Students have studied on a range of degree programmes including; Early Years; Children and Young People; Health and Community Studies/Community with Health Studies; Health and Social Care; Criminology; Construction; Psychological Studies and Psychology; Sports and Coaching; Teaching; Performance, Theatre & Drama; 3D Digital Games Art; Graphic Design; Photography; Business Management and Accounting.

Local businesses will be attending along with some exciting and inspirational guest speakers and there will be onsite careers advice.

Katherine Griffiths, director of HE curriculum, explained: “The students wanted to mark the end of a busy year with a celebration which we have organised with them.

“The event will be an opportunity for all our students and staff and is an appreciation of their fantastic achievements and the efforts they have put in.

“We are very much looking forward to a fun filled student achievement celebration day. There is even a VIP after-party organised by students at local club Envy.”
