MEMBERS of the Oldham Inner Wheel Club have presented cheques to the organisation's chosen charities.
President Jill Platt had picked Brain Tumour Research as her charity and she presented a cheque for £4,000 to Andrea Pankiw, the North West fund raising manager.
The money was raised from various events during the year, including a Race Night, a Charity Theatre night and an Afternoon Tea.
International officer Kath Stone chose to support the Mikoroshoni Primary School in Kenya and she presented a cheque for £500 to John Brooker, founder of the school.
The club has also made donations to the Mayor of Oldham’s Appeal, district chairman’s Charity McMillan, to Grace’s Place, a Children's Hospice which serves Bury, Rochdale and Oldham and, on the international front, a water and sanitation initiative, Toilet Twinning.
The club would like to thank the members of the public who have supported our events during the last 12 months and to let you, know how your generosity has benefitted the above charities.
