Dogs Trust Manchester is offering families the chance to take part in free dog training classes during the summer holidays.
The Dog School and education team are running four free daytime training sessions on August 1, 8, 15 and 22.
The sessions are carried out by professional Dog School coaches and Dogs Trust education and community officers, and are ideal for one adult and up to two children aged seven to 11 to attend with their family dog.
Each of the free workshops, which run from 2pm-3.30pm, includes an introduction to clicker training, basic commands, how to ‘Be Dog Smart’ to stay safe around dogs and a grand finale, where there will be the chance for families to try their hand at a fun assault course to showcase the skills they have learnt.
To find out more or to book a place, contact Dogs Trust Dog School Manchester by e-mailing manchesterdogschool@dogstrust.org.uk or calling 07920 658671.
Places must be booked in advance and dogs must be comfortable around other dogs and strangers.
All classes will take place at Dogs Trust Manchester, Parkway, Denton, M34 3SG.
