AN afternoon tea at Saddleworth Civic Hall raised £166 for the parish council chairman’s charity.
Organised by the chairman’s charity committee, the event had the added bonus of two tables of prizes donated to use for raffles at future fund raising events.
Newly-elected chairman Cllr Robert Knotts said: “It was a lovely afternoon. My wife, Lesley, and her team really pulled out all the stops.”
