THE following cases have been dealt with at Tameside Magistrates' Court.

WILLIAM John McCann, aged 46, of Anchor Street, Oldham, has pleaded not guilty to the theft of a mountain bike, an Apple iWatch and a bicycle helmet worth a total of £7,500. A warrant was issued for his arrest after he failed to surrender to bail at Tameside Magistrates’ Court.

DAWN Marie Harling, aged 39, of Barlow House, Eldon Street Estate, Oldham, has been fined £40, ordered to pay costs of £30 and a further £30 to victim services for begging in Parliament Square.

CLARE Howarth, aged 30, of Curlew Road, Oldham, drove while disqualified and with no insurance. She has been ordered to carry out 120 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months, pay £85 costs and £85 to victim services.

RUSSELL Stansfield, aged 41, of Brompton Street, Oldham, has pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis and cannabis resin and assault. He has been subjected to a 10-week curfew with electric monitoring and must remain at his home address from 7pm to 7am daily. He must also pay compensation of £50 and forfeit the drug.

ANDREW Stonier, aged 23, of Turf Lane, Chadderton, failed to comply with a community requirement of a suspended sentence order made by Manchester City Magistrates not attending an appointment and failed to surrender to bail. A warrant for his arrest was issued.

BRYAN Anthony Hamnett, aged 49, of Henley Steet, Chadderton, attempted to steal items with a VW Golf car. He was subjected to a 10-week curfew requirement with electronic monitoring and must remain at his home address from 7pm to 7am daily. He must also pay compensation of £75.

GARRETT Phipps, aged 62, of Summervale House, Manchester Street, Oldham, resisted a police constable in the execution of his and failed without reasonable cause to surrender to custody at Tameside Magistrates' Court, having been released on bail. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

GRAHAM Hibbert, aged 38, of Honeywell Lane, Oldham, failed without to comply with a community requirement of a suspended sentence order made by Tameside Magistrates' Court by not attending two unpaid work appointments and an appointment with his case manager. A sentence of imprisonment of eight weeks suspended for 12 months was implemented as a sentence of six weeks.

ASHLEY Dean Meah, aged 30, of Oaklands Road, Oldham, behaved in a manner whereby a breach of the peace had been committed. He was bound over to keep the peace for £50 for six months to keep the peace.

DANIEL Stephen Hopper, aged 37, of Oldham Road, Failsworth, failed to stop the vehicle he was driving when required to do so by a constable in uniform. He drove the car without the owner’s consent and with no insurance. He was ordered to carry out 40 hours unpaid work in the next 12 months and ordered driving with no insurance, and without the vehicle owner’s consent. 40 hours unpaid work within the next 12 months and to pay £85 to victim services.

LUCAS Bethel, aged 28, of Lime Road, Failworth failed to comply with a suspended sentence order made by Tameside magistrates by failing to attend unpaid work appointments. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

LEE Denson, aged 28, of Denton Lane, Chadderton, failed to comply with the requirements of a community order made by Manchester City Magistrates Court by failing to attend arranged appointments for the Building Better Relationships Programme and failed to attend unpaid work.

He was ordered to carry out unpaid work for 20 hours in the next 12 months and ordered to pay £60 costs.

KALEEM Mohammed Rizwan, aged 24, of Constable Walk, Sholver, Failed to comply with the requirements of a community order made by Tameside Magistrates Court by failing to attend unpaid work on two occasions. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

MOHAMMED Tubasum, aged 38, of Napier Street West, Oldham, has had £1,980 seized for a further three months on grounds that it is recoverable property obtained through unlawful conduct.

STEVEN David Andrew, aged 30, of Falmouth Street, Oldham, failed to comply with the supervision requirements imposed following release from a period of imprisonment in that he failed to attend planned appointments. He was jailed for 14 days.

WILLIAM O’Connor, aged 47, of Hadfield Street, Oldham, committed burglary at a house in Ashton Road, Oldham. He must carry out 200 hours unpaid work in the next 12 months and pay compensation of £375.
