A popular Caribbean takeaway in Oldham which has proved a hit with residents and food reviewers has announced it has found a permanent home in a pub.

Caribbean Kitchen Oldham, which only recently made its comeback to the delight of residents after closing for more than a year, is a family-run business which offers authentic homecooked Jamaican food.

After three years of business success, the popular takeaway closed towards the end of 2022 and moved its operations to Yaardies in Manchester in the summer.

However, residents were delighted when it came back in February this year, calling it "fantastic news" and "happy days".

Also celebrating its return was Liam Peet, a TikTok food reviewer otherwise known as Peetyscranz, who described the food as "fantastic", "sensational" and "cooked to perfection".

Peetyscranz also praised the chefs for their authentic Jamaican food which was "done proper" and had a "kick" to it.

Now that business is booming at the takeaway, bosses revealed in a post on social media that they have been able to secure a permanent home in a pub in Tameside.

The post read: "The business has grown from strength to strength recently and a premises has always been on the horizon.

"We are super excited to announce that in the near future, we are moving into The Snipe, Audenshaw.

"This means that you'll be able to come down and eat in, soak up the lovely atmosphere in the pub and get a real taste of the Caribbean at the same time."

The team also told its Oldham customers not to "panic" as they will still be delivering to residents.

The post concluded: "We really can't wait to see what the future holds and to take you all along on this great journey with us."
