JIM Keating had a week to remember as the Oldham Golf Club GEMS star pressed every success button possible at his beloved club.

Playing in the GEMS singles Stableford, Jim - pictured flanked by team mates Charlie Middlewood and Stuart Wagstaffe - won a cpo on 17 points from Rod Frizelle, one more than Ken Lumb.

Jim also won the team trios as he combined with Middlewood and Wagstaffe for a top score of 47 points.

Then off the course Jim won the weekly name card and the club’s monthly development draw and all at the club were wondering if he had bought a lottery ticket for the week.

The Gems were also in action in a Texas Scramble and first past the post were Jack Simpson, Rod Frizelle and Bill Broomhead with 34.5 leaving them clear of Charlie Middlewood, Peter Schofield and Martin Stimson 36.5 and Tony Boyle, Gordon Howard and Dave Taylor 37.5.

The Saddleworth Winter League BB Bogey was won with a fine score of +11 by Tony Isaacs and Peter Beswick but hot on their heels on +10 were Nick Kerin and Alan Squires and Lee Tilley and Jon Barnes.

There was also some hot scoring in the Sunday Winter League BB Stableford led by Neil Bamford and Dave Green with 55 points from Dave Pullen and Nick Marner 53 and Mark Orme and Ian Langton 52.
