OLDHAM Rugby League club is happy to support a charity football match between Greater Manchester Police (Oldham) and the North-West Ambulance Service (NWAS) to be played tonight (Friday, August 10) at the Vestacare Stadium, kick-off 7.30pm. Admission is £5.

Money raised will go to the Manchester branch of the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

Match organisers hope that ex-Manchester City stars Frannie Lee and Mike Summerbee will be in attendance.

A police spokesman said: "The dad of one of our officers was diagnosed with Motor Neurone in 2017 and he is keen to raise money to help other families whose loved ones have been diagnosed with this illness."
