Oldham Athletic's game against Halifax will not go ahead as scheduled tomorrow night (Wednesday).

The game was postponed at The Shay after a pitch inspection earlier today, but with time running out to complete fixtures before the end of the season on April 20, Halifax made attempts to find an alternative venue.

However, a suitable arrangement has not been able to be made to ensure the game will go ahead tomorrow, and so the fixture has been postponed completely.

It seems likely the game will be played next week as opposed to later this week, with Latics travelling to play Oxford City on Saturday.

A statement from Latics read: "Following the pitch inspection at the Shay earlier today, the home club have attempted to make alternative arrangements for the fixture in consultation with the National League and other parties.

"As no satisfactory option has yet been agreed, it has now been confirmed that the fixture will not take place on Wednesday 10 April and will be played on a rearranged date.

"Details of the rescheduled fixture will be confirmed in due course, as well as information for supporters who have bought a ticket for this game."
