A WOMAN was left with minor injuries after a robbery at a chip shop in Diggle on Thursday evening.
Police were called to reports of a robbery at Diggle Chippy on Huddersfield Road shortly before 7.50pm.
The offender grabbed the woman's bag and punched the woman in the face as they attempted to prise the bag from her grip.
They then fled from the scene with the bag, with the woman left with minor injuries.
The offender is described as being in their twenties and was wearing dark clothing.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 01/02/18.
