FURNITURE firm Hill’s Panel Products is providing products for hundreds of new apartments in Manchester city centre.

HPP , based in Scottfield Road, Oldham, is supplying and manufacturing furniture and fittings to Beech Design & Build, a leading landlord and developer of apartments for young professionals, students and visitors.

The work, worth hundreds of thousands of pounds, is ongoing and began in late 2016.

It sees HPP potentially providing products for contracts covering between 1,500 and 1,700 apartments.

Kitchens, bedrooms and bathroom furniture and fittings have been supplied for a variety of redeveloped properties on key city centre locations including Portland Street, Princess Street and Cross Street.

HPP serves the national KBB fitting industry, supplying trade fitters and contract clients.

It has over 2,000 UK trade customers and employs more than 185 staff across Oldham and Sheffield, where it has a second distribution centre.

Shaun Nolan, HPP’s national contracts manager, said: “Our work in Manchester city centre ranges from top-specification apartments in Portland Street to student-type accommodation on Princess Street.

“The carcass materials for rooms have predominantly been made using XyloCleaf products. The kitchens have bespoke designs with built-in handles and strip lighting.

“The client especially likes the designs and finishes, which are new, vibrant and have not been widely-seen yet. We sourced them from the manufacturer.

“This is the first time that HPP has worked with this client. They like our complete turn-key service, which satisfied vital factors including the scale of work, time constraints and prices.

“First and foremost, HPP is a distributor. Because we see new products months ahead of the market, we can tell architects about forthcoming products and ask if they’d like to introduce them into new buildings.

"This puts architects and specifiers in an advantaged position.
