AN air ambulance was called to Werneth Park this morning following a collision between a pedestrian and a lorry.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said officers were called at around 10am.
It's understood a woman was involved in the incident which was attended by the air ambulance, two rapid response vehicles and an ambulance.
Manchester Road between Frederick Street and Cambridge Street was closed for some time.
No further details have been released at this stage.
