A HEALTH worker in Oldham has fashioned out the Justin Bieber look after having her hair cut for charity.
Ezmi Mulhearn a manager at the Royal Oldham Hospital, decided to cut off 20-inches of her hair in aid of the Little Princess Trust. Her effort raised £759.
Ezmi’s hair will help provide free wigs to children and young people who have lost their hair to cancer and other illnesses.
Ezmi explains: “I saw someone on Facebook donate their hair to the charity and thought that it looked like a wonderful charity to support. Working in the hospital, I see the fantastic job our frontline teams do every day with our patients and I was really inspired to do something, however small, that could help make things a little bit better for children having a tough time due to illness.
“The Little Princess Trust takes donations of hair, but each wig they make costs around £350-£500 to make, so I thought that a sponsored haircut would kill two birds with one stone.
“Although I loved my long hair, I thought that helping a little girl who is having an incredibly brave battle with an illness would appreciate it and love the chance to feel like a princess.”
Ezmi is having a little fun in the process and is encouraging people to donate to the cause by posting a silly photo of her in a Justin Bieber pose for every £50 raised above her target.
