THE wartime make do and mend ethos will be brought to life at Saddleworth Museum in a family craft session on October 30.
Their Takeaway Tuesday school holiday activity focuses on the museum’s remembrance of 100 years since the end of WW1.
Kids and their grown-ups will get the chance to have a go at some wartime crafts and contribute to the museum's WW1 remembrance tree, plus find out about how people recycled during the war.
Fabric scraps will be turned into colourful rag-rugged mats and you can hand sew poppies to take home and add to the remembrance tree.
Admission is £2 from concessions, £3 for adults or £6 per family (2+2) and includes entry to the museum in High Street, Uppermill.
To book for the ‘Make Do and Mend’ family craft session from 1-4pm call 01457 874 093.
