FIVE men have been charged with murder and attempted murder following a shooting in Ashton.

Officers swooped on addresses in Ashton, Droylsden, Stalybridge, Audenshaw, Beswick, Oldham, Newton Heath and Preswich on Tuesday (October 30) in relation to the fatal shooting in Birch Street, on June 13.

Luke Paul Graham, 31, was taken to hospital where he sadly died from his injuries.

Another man in his 20s presented himself at hospital later that day with a gunshot wound to his leg. He was discharged from hospital following treatment.

The men have been charged with the murder of Luke Paul Graham and attempted murder of the man in his 20s, and were remanded in custody to appear at Manchester Magistrates’ Court today (Thursday, November 1). The charged men are: Wade Keaton Cox, aged 28, of Thornley Rise, Audenshaw; Jak Cooper West, aged 28, of Parrenthorn Road, Prestwich;

Connor Cornforth, aged 27, of Wharf Road, Droylsden; Francis Robert Atkinson, aged 28, of Stamford Drive, Stalybridge and Benjamin Dodd, aged 27, of Silfield Close, Beswick.
