MAHDLO Youth Zone is appealing for support for its festive fundraising campaign as it bids to make this Christmas one to remembers for young people across Oldham.
Local people and businesses can buy a bauble to be proudly displayed on the Mahdlo Christmas tree from £25.
Lucy Lees, deputy chief executive, said: “Christmas should be a fun time for everyone and through helping decorate our tree you will be providing a festive season of parties and aspirational activities ensuring young people in Oldham have the best Christmas that they deserve.”
The fundraising campaign is being backed by Oldham business Wash Tech Solutions which has chipped in with a £100 donation. Its managing director Tom Finnegan, said: “It’s a great charity that does so much for the local community and Christmas is a special time that should be enjoyed by everyone.”
Mahdlo development manager Claire Crossfield said: “Last year’s campaign was really successful and we’re hoping to reach our target of £2,500. We are incredibly grateful of the support of local people and businesses and I know they’ll help us do it again. It’s really easy for people to donate and their names will be proudly displayed on our tree again this year.”
