A BUILDING worker has been taken to hospital with chest and back injuries after falling from the roof of a partially constructed house.
Oldham firefighters and paramedics were called to the building site in Ripponden Road after the man, believed to be in his late 40s, tumbled three metres on to the first floor of the property while working on roof trussing.
Fire crews used a spine board and stretcher to lower the man down using a ladder acting as a makeshift ramp.
He was then taken by ambulance to the Royal Oldham Hospital.
