EMMAUS Mossley is set to bask in Christmas spirit as it prepares to host a Vintage Christmas Market.

The homelessness charity is extending its 'pre-loved' theme to the festive season with an event at their Secondhand Superstore on Saturday, November 17, from 9am to 4.30pm, at Longlands Mill, in Queen Street.

The Vintage Christmas Market will launch their Emmaus’ Christmas display and includes a range of festive stalls for all tastes and budgets. There will be a wide selection of vintage and retro decorations, secret Santa gifts, presents for under a fiver and lots of reusable Christmas trees.

There will also be Christmas-themed stalls, the Collectables Room will be open and Santa will be visiting Emmaus’ Secondhand Superstore from 2pm.

On the day Emmaus Mossley will also host a lantern making workshop at 1pm for the upcoming 12 Days of Mossley Christmas event.

The workshop is free to attend and open to all ages but children must be accompanied by adults and lantern makers will need to commit to taking part in the 12 Days of Mossley Christmas event on November 24.

Lucie's Café will serve lots of festive food and drinks throughout the day.

Companion Gary, one of the people who lives and works at Emmaus Mossley, said: “I am really looking forward to the Christmas event and seeing all the happy, smiling faces who visit us at this time of year.”

Hazel Hodkinson, retail manager at Emmaus Mossley, said: “This year we are keen to promote the idea of ‘a pre-loved Christmas’ – reusing perfectly good quality items instead of buying new ones. Whether you are looking to decorate your home, find unique presents at a great price or looking for additional dining chairs, Emmaus Mossley has the lot!”

There is limited space for external stall-holders ans if you are interested in booking a stall email info@emmausmossley.org.uk.
