AN Oldham business man has received special recognition at a ceremony celebrating the UK's entrepreneurialism.
David Bellis MBE, chair and founder of Innovative Technology based in Derker Street, was given the EY (Ernst and Young) Entrepreneur of the Year UK Judges Special Award in London.
The awards, which celebrate its 20th anniversary in the UK this year, has recognised the contribution of thousands of entrepreneurs to the British economy over the last two decades.
David founded Innovative Technology in 1992 and today it continues to manufacture state-of-the-art equipment to automate transactions and is a market leading supplier to the international gaming, amusement, vending, retail and kiosk industries.
Two decades on, the company’s philosophy to provide the latest, technologically advanced products still remains at the heart of its ethos. Innovative Technology now has worldwide offices in Europe, Asia, Australia, North and South America, and trading partners in more than 20 countries.
