THE following cases have been dealt with at Tameside Magistrates' court.

A 31-YEAR-old man has been found guilty at Tameside Magistrates’ Court of assaulting a woman by beating. Kane Alexander Bennett, of Afghan Street, must pay £220 costs and £85 into victim services. Bennett will be electronically monitored and must comply with a four-week curfew from 10pm to 7am and undergo rehabilitation activity up to a maximum of 20 days. A restraining order also prohibits him from making contact with his victim except through a third party for child contact.

A 50-YEAR-old woman has admitted wilfully obstructing a police constable in the execution of his duty in Oldham. Marioare State, of Cleeve Road, Oldham, appeared at Tameside Magistrates Court where she was given a 12-month conditional discharge, ordered to pay costs of £85 and £20 into victim services.

MARTIN Alan Davies, of Whiteley Street, Chadderton, has had £3,422 seized under the proceeds of crime act after an application under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 was granted.

DAVID Simon Chadwick, aged 44, of Oldham Road, Failsworth, dishonestly received stolen goods, including kitchen itens and food goods worth £10 at Café in the Mill. A community order was made for which he will be under curfew for nine weeks with electronic monitoring from November 20 to January 22, during which time he must be at his home address from 7pm to 7am daily. He must also pay £85 costs and £85 to victim services.

GEMMA Marie Daly, aged 30, of Whitestable Close, Chadderton, stole toys worth £58.50 from Sainsbury’s in Oldham. She was issued with a two-year criminal behaviour order and banned from entering the town centre. She was fined £40 and ordered to pay £30 into victim services.

SARAH Louise Lowther, aged 44, of Snowdon Street, Oldham, admitted threatening behaviour and committing a further offence during a 12-month period of a conditional discharge imposed by Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court for criminal discharge. She was given an 18-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £20 into victim services.

A warrant for the Paddy Ward, aged 26, of Wimpole Street, Oldham, has been issued after he failed to appear at court on charges of assaulting a woman by beating her.

ANCUTTA Anghel, aged 36, of Wakefield Street, Chadderton, failed to ensure that waste from her property, including a sofa, an armchair and bags containing household waste was not dumped in an alleyway at the rear of Castleford Street and Wakefield Street. A warrant was issued for her arrest.

ROB Brogan, of Oldham Road, Royton, failed to ensure that household waste from his property was not dumped in alleyway at the side of 2 Valley Road, Royton. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

AMY Curry, aged 32, of Fox Street, Oldham, committed fraud by making a false representation that she was selling a Citreon C2 car. A warrant was issued for her arrest.

KELVIN Greenwood, aged 46, of Cheltenham Street, Oldham, assaulted a police constable, and has not surrendered to bail. A warrant was issued for his arrest. PAUL James Dowbekin, aged 43, of Hanson Street, Oldham, harassed a woman using threatening behaviour and has not surrendered to bail. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

RONALD Hill, aged 66, of Wildmoor Avenue, Oldham, failed to notify authorities of an address he was staying at for more than seven days under Sexual Offences Act 2003 on eight occasions. He was given a six months prison sentence, suspended for 12 months. He must also pay costs of £85 and £115 to victim services.

JAMIE Liam Jones, 29, of Summervale House, Oldham, pleaded guilty to burglary at Max Speilman, in High Street, Oldham. He was given a community order for which he must undergo rehabilitation activity up to a maximum of 20 days and carry out unpaid work for 100 hours in the next 12 months. He must also pay £85 costs and £85 into victim services.

BARRY Taylor, aged 48, of Ashfield Crescnt, Springhead, admitted possession of cannabis and an offensive weapon, namely a Taser. He was ordered to carry out 100 hours unpaid work in the next 12 months and pay costs of £85 and £85 into victim services.
