THERE is always loads going on around the region. Here are our five top things to do or visit this week.

Christmas pantomime Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs takes to the stage with an all star cast, Starring in the show is Michael Starke of Brookside and Benidorm fame, who will be appearing alongside X-Factor stars David Heath and Sam Callahan. The play runs until December 30. For information visit http://www.alberthalls-bolton.co.uk/ or tickets can also be purchased from the Central Library on Saturdays between 9am-5pm.

Old Boltonians now have a ladies football team and they are looking out for players.
If you want to try out, training is between 7-8pm on Tuesday evenings at Little Lever High School and games are on Sundays.

The annual Christmas concert will be taking place at The Victoria Hall in Bolton on Saturday December 8.
Wingates Brass Band will be taking to the stage to perform alongside The Three Town Operatics Society.
The concert starts at 7;30pm and tickets are available at the Victoria Hall box office or on the door.
Tickets cost £5 but under 12s can watch the concert for free.

Christmas is on its way
Family film The Star is bound to get everyone in the festive spirit.
The film which tells the story of a brave donkey named Bo who finds the courage to break free from his boring life and embark on the adventure of his dreams.
The movie will be shown in Bolton Central Library and Museum at 2pm as part of its Cinema in the Crescent season. 
Admission is free and under-12s must be accompanied by an adult.
No need to book, just turn up on the day

THERE’S still time to catch the Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody at the cinema. 
It’s showing several times a day across Bolton Light Cinema, The Valley Cineworld and Vue Cinema, Middlebrook for the next week.
The much acclaimed film tells the bizarre and tragic story of Freddie Mercury, played by Rami Malek.
Fans have been flocking to see the film, which has been running for several weeks now.
So before the curtain comes down, if it’s on your to-do list before Christmas, make sure you take time out to catch it.
