THE following cases have been dealt with at Tameside Magistrates’ Court.

NUNO Duarte, aged 20, of Horsedge Street, St Mary’s Estate, Oldham, failed to comply with a community order made by Tameside Magistrates’ Court on September 10, by missing two appointments with his young offender manager. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

BRIAN Ogden, aged 31, of Coalshaw Green Road, Chadderton, failed to comply with a community order made by Tameside Magistrates’ Court on June 27, by missing two appointments. He must now carry out 14 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months. He must also pay costs of £60.

BENJAMIN Olubumni Joseph, aged 26, of Hollins Road, Oldham, failed to comply with a com unity order made by Thames Magistrates’ Court on June 14 by not turning up for unpaid work on October 5 and October 12. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

JORDAN Clements, aged 27, of Byron Terrace, Failsworth, has had £10,049.36 cash seized under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 after an application from Greater Manchester Police was granted.

SOPHIE Stansfield, aged 28, of Derwent Drive, Shaw, was found guilty of assault on a woman causing her actual bodily harm. She was given a six-month prison sentence suspended for 12 months, and must comply with rehabilitation activity up to a maximum of 25 days. She was also given a restraining order preventing her making direct or indirect contact with her victim, and she must not enter or approach Waverley Street, Oldham or post anything on Facebook or any other media site to identify her victim. She must not contact First Choice Homes about her victim. Stansfield must pay £250 compensation and £250 costs.

DAVID Keenan, aged 44, of Middleton Road, Chadderton, was drunk and disorderly in Yorkshire Street, Oldham and was found in possession of class A drug diamorphine. He was fined £120, ordered to pay costs of £50 and £30 to victim services.

SCOTT Anthony Deay, aged 41, of Ben Brierley Walk, Failsworth, operated a waste operation for which he did not have an authorised environmental permit and dumped controlled waste on land adjacent to 185 Edge Lane, Droylesden and on land opposite 4 Helena Street, Miles Platting. He was given a community order with a curfew requirement including electronic monitoring for 26 weeks until May 25, 2019, when he must be at his home address between 7pm and 7am daily. He was disqualified for five years from the being a director of a company. He was also ordered to pay £8,280 compensation.

ANDREW Dearden, aged 31, of Cherry Avenue, Oldham, burgled the home of his elderly mother and stole her £9,000 life savings. He was given a four-month prison sentence suspended for 12 months. Dearden must also comply with rehabilitation activity up to a maximum of 15 days and must carry out unpaid work for 80 hours in the next 12 months. He must also pay £2,600 compensation, £115 into victim services and £85 costs. RONALD Franklin, aged 50, of Middleton Road, Chadderton, failed to provide a specimen of blood for test after committing a traffic offence. He was fined £160, ordered to pay costs of £100 and £30 to victim services. He was banned from driving for 12 months. DYLAN Thomas Hardman, aged 21, of Broad Oak Crescent, Fitton Hill, assaulted a man by beating him. He must undergo mental health treatment, pay a £20 fine and £80 in compensation.
