POLICE attending an incident in Oldham returned to find thugs had smashed the windscreen of their vehicle with a brick.
Officers were responding to a call on Clyde Street yesterday (Sunday) when the incident happened meaning the vehicle had to be taken off the road for repairs.
They believe four males on off-road bikes, with no number plates or helmets are responsible.
In a post on GMP Oldham Central Facebook page they said: "Let's hope that the people responsible for this don't need a police patrol to help them or their family tonight as we are one patrol short."
Anyone with any information is asked to call 101 or Oldham police station on 0161 856 8927 and ask to speak to either PC 14354 OR PC 17579.
