Firefighters called to flat fire
FIREFIGHTERS were called to the fourth floor of Summervale House in Manchester Street, Oldham on Tuesday night after the occupant of a flat left a pan of food on the cooker.
Crews from Oldham and Chadderton station attended at about 9.20pm and had to force their way into the flat as it filled with smoke.
It appeared the occupant, a man in his 50s, had fallen asleep.
