THE owner of Northwood Oldham – part of a national network of letting and estate agents – has been crowned winner in the auction sales category of the chain’s annual awards.

Mike Proctor received the gong at Northwood’s prestigious black tie ceremony at the Jurys Inn at Hinckley Island in the West Midlands.

Mike, who has run the outlet in High Street, Lees for almost 10 years, said: “We are delighted to have won this award, and very pleased that our on-line auctions have been so successful, via the ‘Iam Sold’ scheme.

“This is a very modern way of selling houses that can benefit many different types of clients who value the security that this scheme offers, and the fact that all fees are paid by the buyer.”

Northwood managing director Phil Gee said: “Mike runs a fantastic business. The superb efforts of his sales team in running this very innovative auction scheme have really paid off in a competitive market.

“Mike has always been an extremely progressive business owner, who recognises market opportunities and maximises their potential. I wish him every success for the future.”

Northwood has more than 85 offices in the UK.
