AN event billed as the best community charity event in Saddleworth will be staged in June.
Saddleworth and Oldham Metro rotary clubs are presenting Wellifest 2019 at Well-i-Hole Farm, Greenfield, on Saturday, June 29, from 3.30pm to 9.30pm.
Returning for a second year, the music event with a difference featuring Frankie Valli Tribute (Stars in Their Eyes Winner Peter Starsfield), Tom Hingley, former lead singer with Inspiral Carpets.
A number of well-known local bands, including Blackballed, Tony Auton, Alexa Mae, Tom Gibson, Uncle Buck, One Day, Frank Lund and Nina G will feature.
DJ Bob Marshall will play favourite hits from the last six decades between live performances.
The event will be opened by the winner and runner up of the joint rotary clubs 12-16 year old heat winners from the Royal George auditions Grand Final to be held at the Royal George, Greenfield, on Friday, January 25.
