THE following cases have been dealt with at Tameside Magistrates' Court. CODIE Catley, aged 19, of Littlemoor Lane, Oldham, admitted harassing another woman between August 21 and September 20, 2018. She was given an 18-month conditional discharge and banned from contacting her victim directly or indirectly or sending any communication to her until July 7, 2020. She must also pay £85 costs and £20 into victim services.

DAVID Keenan, aged 44, of Middleton Road, Chadderton, at Royton on November 22 assaulted a police constable and another man by beating him. He also failed to surrender to bail at Tameside Magistrates Court on November 20, 2018. He must undergo treatment for drug dependency for six months, pay a fine of £40 and compensation of £100.

JOSEPH Adam Patrick Moss, aged 33, of Broome Street, Oldham, threatened a man and woman with violence on August 15, 2018, and stole alcohol worth a total of £11.75 from Sainsbury;s in Oldham on August 7 and 20. Moss also failed to surrender to custody at Tameside Magistrates’ Court on December 31 and on January 3. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

AMY Lea Pelling, aged 27, of no fixed address, at Oldham on November 24, 2018, caused £150 worth of damage to a kitchen window belonging to Yale Housing Association, an assaulted a man by beating. She was also guilty of racially aggravated threatening behaviour towards a woman at the Royal Oldham Hospital, where she also assaulted a nurse on duty. The court heard that she had a previous record of racially aggravated offences in hospital which were drug fuelled. She was given a four-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months. Pelling must also undergo treatment for drug dependency for nine months and carry out rehabilitation activity up to a maximum of 25 days. She must also pay compensation of £250.

MOHAMMAD Yasin, aged 44, of Schofield Street, Oldham, admitted failing to stop after an accident which caused injury to a woman and drove without insurance in Oldham on September 29, 2017. He was given an 18-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months and ordered to pay costs of £85 and £115 into victim services.

EDWARD Joseph O’Dare,aged 43, of Abbey Hills Road, Oldham, has been given a 16-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months for incidents of racially aggravated threatening behaviour at Oldham. He must also undertake rehabilitation activity up to a maximum of 15 days and carry out 100 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months. O’Dare has also been banned from making any contact with his victims or their children and is prohibited from entering another home in Abbey Hills Road or engagingg in any activity likely to cause alarm or distress to his victims. He must also pay costs of £170 and £115 into victim services.

LUCY Bailey, aged 38, of Derby Street, Failsworrth, left 10 black bags of household waste in an alleyway behind her home. A warrant was issued for her arrest.

NISHAT Afzal, aged 52, of Morris Street, Oldham, at Ashis Food at 117 Oxford Street Oldham, failed to comply with food hygiene regulations with inadequate pest proofing and cleaning in the premises, resulting in mouse activity with mouse droppings being found throughout the kitchen, on the floor, on shelving and some kitchen surfaces, on plates and in pizza boxes. The outlet also had worn chopping boards which could not be cleaned and the fridge seals were damaged or broken. Surrounding walls and the cooking area and grill were also dirty. There were also no materials in the kitchen for hygienic hand drying. Afzal was fined a total of £1,000, ordered to pay £1,100 costs and £30 into victim services.

DAMIEN Kenneth Mates, of Birch Avenue, Oldham, failed to comply with an abatement notice requiring him to get security lights fixed to the front of 11 Birch Avenue, preventing them from shining into neighbouring properties on two occasions. He was fined a total of £880 and ordered to pay costs of £1,425 and £44 into victim services. The case was proved in his absence.

DANIELLE Siddall, aged 28, of County Street, Oldham, left black bags of household waste in the alleyway at the back of County Street. She was fined £60 and ordered to pay £275 costs and £30 to victim services.

PETER Webster, aged 50, of Hardman Lane, Failsworth, left two black bags of household waste in an alleyway adjacent to Hardman Lane, Failsworth. He was fined £55 and ordered to pay costs of £100 and £30 into victim services.

CAROLINE Haywood, aged 32, of Pearl Mill Close, Oldham, failed to ensure that domestic waste from her property was not unlawfully dumped on land at the rear of Pearl Mill Lane, Oldham. A warrant was issued for her arrest.

KRISTIAN Beker, aged 36, of Camation Road, Oldham, failed to comply with a suspended sentence order made by Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court on November 3 by missing two appointments in November. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

MARC John Bickerstaff, aged 43, of Eton Avenue, Oldham, failed to comply with a community order made by Tameside Magistrates’ Court on June 15, 2018 by missing two appointments in November. Ten hours of unpaid work have now been added to his sentence and he must carry our 100 hours in the next 12 months.

SONIA Gaynor Earnshaw, aged 38, of Ripponden Road, Oldham, failed to comply with a community order made by Tameside Magistrates’ Court on June 28, 2018 by missing planned appointments in November. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

CANDICE Jennifer Lyons, aged 28, of Hansby Close, Oldham, failed to comply with a community order made by Tameside Magistrates’ Court on September 26, 2018 by missing unpaid work on November 15 and a planned appointment on November 20. A warrant was issued for her arrest.

ANDREW Moore, aged 31, of Shaw Road, Royton, failed to comply with a community order made by Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court on July 3, 2018, by missing two appointments. He must carry out rehabilitation activity up to a maximum of three days and carry out his original unpaid work requirement. He must also pay costs of £60.

EMANUEL Vasile, aged 27, of Kingsley Road, Oldham, pleaded guilty at Tameside Magistrates’ Court to drink driving in Honeywell Lane, Oldham on January 1. He also had no insurance and no licence. He was fined £475, ordered to pay £85 costs and £47 into victim services. He was also disqualified from driving until he passes his test. LIAM Anthony Merritt, aged 32, of Glenridding Close, Oldham, failed comply with a community order made by Tameside Magistrates’ Court on March 15, 2018 by missing planned appointments. A community order made has now been revoked and he has been given a 12-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months. Merritt must also participate in rehabilitation activity up to a maximum of 20 days.

The original offences were the theft of coping stones worth £500 from Greenacres Congregational Church, and possession of a lock knife in a public place.

JEAN Claude Uwanyirigira, aged 48, of Rowden Road, Oldham, failed to provide a specimen breath after being suspected to drink driving. He was given a 16-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months by Tameside Magistrates’ Court. He must also pay costs of £450 and £115 into victim services. Uwanyirigira was banned from driving for three years.

MARY Ann Wright, aged 36, of Lilac Grove, Chadderton, has been found guilty at Tameside Magistrates’ Court of stealing a £300 watch on October 17, 2018. She has been electronically tagged for 12 weeks until April 11, and must abide by a curfew between 8pm and 8am at her home. She must also pay £85 to victim services. No order for costs was made.
