A MAN has been charged with murder and attempted murder following a shooting in Ashton last summer.

James Denton, aged 27, of Barcliffe Avenue, Moston has been charged with murder and attempted murder.

He has been remanded in custody and will appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court today (Thursday, January 17).

At around 4.50pm on Wednesday, June 13, police were called to reports that a man had been shot on Birch Street in Ashton

Luke Graham, aged 31, was taken to hospital where he died from his injuries.

Another man in his 20s later presented himself at hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg. He was treated for non-serious injuries.
