SISTER Sledge, the Zutons, Feeder and father of hip hop Grandmaster Flash are among the acts lined up for the Highest Point Festival in Lancaster in May.

The festival - which takes over Williamson Park - will be returning for a second year on Friday, May 17 and Saturday, May 18.

Lucy Spraggan, Alabama 3 and Cabbage will also be appearing at the festival.

BBC Introducing will be returning, showcasing up-and-coming acts from around the county.

For 2019 there will be extended hours from 11am to 11pm with five stages of music. There will be a special family day on Sunday, May 19. Also new for this year will be camping and the festival will be raising money for the Macmillan charity.

Highest Point founder Jamie Scahill said: “We are all buzzing to announce that Highest Point Festival will return to the beautiful surroundings of Williamson Park in Lancaster in May.

“Over 20,000 smiling faces attended over the 3 days last year and we aim to make this year even bigger.”

More bands and the full DJ line-up will be revealed later.

Tickets will be available from Skiddle from 7pm tomorrow.
