APPRENTICE finalist Camilla Ainsworth has chosen East Lancashire Hospitals Trust to be the first in the UK to stock her new nut milk.

The talented Blackburn woman and business star arrived at Royal Blackburn Hospital's Grane Restaurant today (Friday) to promote the launch of the dairy-free M+lk Plus milk.

The milk will be available at the trust's Blackburn and Burnley sites.

Camilla, who made it down to the final two in the BBC show last year before losing out to rival Sian Gabbidon, was on hand to offer out free tasters to guests at the Grane Restaurant.

She received positive feedback from those who were trying a nut alternative for the first time.

The hospital restaurant was jam-packed with curious customers eager to meet and congratulate Camilla as she discussed the current health conscious trends.

Camilla, a former Westholme School pupil, said: “The dairy-free juggernaut shows no signs of slowing down and M+lk Plus is a product of the future.

"There is nothing else like it on the shelves.

"This is the first hospital in the UK to stock the product and it is great for me to be a pioneer in the health care system.”

Tim Radcliff, catering manager at the trust, has welcomed the decision to procure Camilla’s M+lk Plus as a nutty alternative to dairy.

He said: “Providing M+lk Plus through our catering services supports the work we have already carried out to gain the Soil Association Certification.

"The catering team pride themselves on providing an environment that supports healthy choices and a range of dietary requirements.

"The trust is keeping up with the vegan boom and procuring M+lk Plus means that we can offer a wider variety of healthy food and drink to the local community whether they are vegan, dairy intolerant or just looking to try something different.”
