FIVE people were taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation after a fire in the kitchen of a house today.
Crews were called to Coppice Avenue, Accrington, shortly after midnight, to the fire involving a cooker, grill pan and hob.
Three adults and two children were taken to hospital suffering from the effects of smoke inhalation.
Firefighters used one hose reel and small tools to put out the fire.
Fire crews were at the scene for around 40 minutes.
