A WOMAN has died after a road accident in Stalybridge.
The 40-year-old woman was involved in a collision with a white Daihatsu Hi-Jet van
The collision happened around 10.45pm on Saturday on Darnton Road, near to the junction of Ash Grove.
The driver of the van stayed at the scene and no arrests have been made.
Police Constable John Harrison-Gough of GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “Our thoughts, as they were at the time of the collision, remain with the woman’s family.
“In just a number of days, their lives have been turned upside down, losing a much loved member of their family.
“Our investigation into the circumstances will continue so I’d ask anyone with dashcam footage to get in touch.”
