A ROAD was closed following a two-car crash.
The A671 Whalley Road at Clitheroe was shut at around 12.10pm today after the collision involving a BMW and Ford Focus.
Police re-opened the road at about 2pm following the crash near to the junction with Primrose Road.
An air ambulance, two ambulances and three rapid response vehicle were called to the scene.
An ambulance service spokesman said five people were involved in the crash.
The ambulance service spokesman said several people were taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital but they could not confirm how many.
The extent of their injuries are unknown at this stage.
