A STORE will soon reopen to the community after a £610,000 refurbishment.

The Co-op on Loftus High Street closed for a major refurbishment, but is set to reopen on Thursday, February 21.

The company said it would be hosting offers and promotions, exclusive to that store, to mark its launch.

Chris Blenkey store manager said: “We are delighted to be undertaking such a significant investment in Loftus and we’re confident that the improvements will help us to better serve the community.

"It’s an exciting time for the whole team."

The revamped store will now offer an in-store bakery.

Andy Brown area manager said: "The Co-op is moving forward with a clear purpose and momentum.

"Our ambition is to ensure the store is a local hub, a real asset for the community."
