NEWLY-launched The Little French Cinema is gearing up for its next screening after a sell-out first event.
The screening of comedy Les Intouchables in Oldham Library’s performance space proved to be a major hit with the audience.
The next screening is of the BAFTA Award-winning film Un Prophète on Thursday, May 2, starting at 7pm.
Gritty, shocking and unforgettable, A Prophet is an epic crime masterpiece that can't be missed. A 19-year-old troublemaker starts a six year sentence in a notorious prison, a concrete hell where violence is the only language understood. Taken under the wing of a powerful mafia boss, he is initiated into a vicious and brutal way of life.
It’s directed by Jacques Audiard is certificate 18. The running time is 2hrs 35 mins with no adverts or trailers. It will be shown in French with English subtitles. Tickets priced £5 are available on Eventbrite.co.uk
