A MARTLETS snail has arrived at its new home to raise money for a Brighton landmark.
Intro Tattoos in Queen’s Road, Brighton, paid £4,200 for the much-loved mollusc called A Spin Around Brighton and gave it to the Save Madeira Terrace campaign.
Emily Haggerty from Intro Tattoos said: “We bought it because saving our heritage is such an important cause. Brighton’s history is what
makes us so special.”
Jax Atkins, who runs the campaign, said the donation was “out of the blue” and it will now be used to help raise money for the needed regeneration.
Miss Brighton, 25-year-old Rebecca Kite lent her support for a celebratory snap on the seafront.
Rebecca, who has a tattoo of the West Pier on her ankle, said the terraces were “beautiful” and we should do all we can to save them.
